Designer Delphine Manivet Gives a New Look to Les Sources de Caudalie

Press release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEW YORK, NY (March 31, 2016): After the contemporary influence of the Maison Martin Margiela fashion house in 2010, and Maxime Simoëns in 2013, the legendary suite at Les Sources de Caudalie, L’Ile aux Oiseaux, now has a feminine look with couture overtones. Owner Alice Tourbier wanted to continue the design venture by entrusting the keys to the stilt cabin to designer Delphine Manivet, known for her timeless Bridal and Evening wear collections. The suite's enchanting setting naturally inspired Delphine Manivet to give this interior design project a new expression. Unveiled recently, the new décor exhibits all the signature codes of the Delphine Manivet fashion house: quality materials, intricate details and predominant whites. Guided tour Delphine Manivet offers a foray "beneath the bridal veil" that starts the moment you step through the door. Entirely covered in silk crepe netting in the style of the finest petticoats, the interior becomes a romantic and cosy cocoon. This luxury stilt cabin, whose terrace overlooks the lake of Les Sources de Caudalie, has a blissful feel where time seems to stand still. L’Ile aux Oiseaux is now a true haven for lovers everywhere. The furnishings and decorations of the L’Ile aux Oiseaux are wrapped in white and pink tones of cream, ivory, pearl, talc, and powder, light colours that offer a subtle contrast with the grey-stained solid oak parquet and the anthracite wool rug (Toulemonde Bochart). The immense bed dominated by a headboard upholstered by Rubelli invites relaxation, while the adjacent chaise longue in pale pink silk velvet (Philippe Hurel) brings to mind the bourgeois day beds of a bygone era. A fabric pouf by Dedar and a coffee table add the finishing touch to the living area. An elegant console table serves as a desk, and an overstitched leather desk blotter as the writing pad. Sitting in the white Eames Plastic Armchair by Vitra brings to mind poetry and calligraphy. When evening comes, the Métérorites de Artémide globes and the IC floor lamp and table lamp by Michael Anastassiades for Flos give the bedroom an intimate, warm feel. "Due to its prime location, the L’Ile aux Oiseaux cabin was already highly popular with young married couples for their honeymoon at Les Sources de Caudalie. With this new décor, it is more than ever a romantic destination, lost among an ocean of vines," concludes Alice Tourbier.
