50th Anniversary of the Foundation Maeght - Saint-Paul-de-Vence
Inaugurated in July 1964 in the village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the Foundation Maeght was born from the friendship of Aimé Maeght, art dealer and gallery owner in Paris, with ties to the great names of modern art: including Joan Miró, Alexander Calder, Fernand Léger, Georges Braque, Alberto Giacometti, Marc Chagall and Eduardo Chillida.
In 2014, the Maeght Foundation invites art lovers to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary in Saint-Paul-de-Vence with dedicated anniversary exhibitions all year-long as well as exhibits celebrating the milestone throughout France, including: The Picasso Museum in Antibes, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nice, the National Museum Marc Chagall in Nice among many others.
A Renowned Film Destination
The Côte d’Azur is also a sought after film location and destination. - The Price of Désiré, Directed by Mary McGuckian. Starring Orla Brady, Caitriona Balfe, Alanis Morissette and Vincent Perez.
- Minuscule: Valley of the Lost Ants, Hélène Giraud and Thomas Szabo’s Minuscule: Valley of the Lost Ants follows the day-to-day existence of anthropomorphic insects.

Easily Accessible from Many European and International Destinations
The Côte d’Azur is within three hours of over 30 European destinations. It offers a wide range of themed stays all year round.
