NEW YORK, NY, MAY 22, 2014 — Atout France, the France Tourism Development Agency, is delighted to announce the launch of its annual wine tourism campaign this May, highlighting seven of France's top wine regions on the website www.francewinetravels.com. The areas include: Aquitaine-Bordeaux, Champagne, Dijon-Mâcon, Loire Valley, Midi-Pyrénées, Provence and the Rhône Valley.
On May 18th, seven wine bloggers traveled separately to each of these renowned regions at the same time, creating a veritable social media buzz, showcasing the rich history, beautiful landscape and terroir of the appellations. The public is invited to follow their experiences using the hash tag #FranceWineTravels as well as the different hash tags that represent each of the regions: #BordeauxTravels, #ChampagneTravels, #LoireValleyTravels, #DijonMaconTravels, #MidiPyTravels, #ProvenceTravels, #RhoneTravels. This September, users can vote for their favorite blogger experiences within each of the categories below: Best Wine Tasting Experience, Best Vineyard Activity, Best Culinary Experience, Best Place to Stay, Best 2014 News, Best Cultural Revelation and Best Historical Discovery and enter to win a wine trip for two to France. The campaign will officially end on October 15 and an awards ceremony will take place on October 18 at French Affairs in Las Vegas.
