FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW YORK, NY, October 11, 2013 – The 10th anniversary edition of French Affairs, which is organized by Atout France, the France Tourism Development Agency, will be held in New York on Sunday and Monday, October 20 and 21, 2013 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square Hotel. It is the largest gathering of American tour operators and French travel industry suppliers in the U.S. For this very special year, Atout France will host 139 representatives of 105 American tour operating companies—including several Canadian, Mexican and Brazilian companies—to meet with 80 French exhibitors from regional and city tourism offices, incoming agencies, airlines, hotel groups, transportation companies, monuments and cultural institutions as well with other European tourist offices and associations.

French Affairs is the perfect opportunity for American travel professionals who specialize in travel to France to meet with the French Travel Industry’s most influential players. The two-day meeting will also provide participants with the opportunity to share information on the state of U.S. travel to France, on consumer trends as well as on the latest developments in travel to France.

The event kicks off with the General Session on Sunday afternoon, with Atout France presenting the latest news for travel to France. It is followed by the entertaining Gala dinner which features the French Award Ceremony that names the best tour operator of the year. This year the dinner is sponsored by the Tourism Boards of the Côte d’Azur and of the cities of Antibes/Juan-les-Pins, Cannes and Nice.

Monday begins with early morning workshops sponsored by the Rhône-Alpes, Aquitaine and Midi-Pyrénnées Tourism Boards followed by a luncheon hosted by the Domaine de Chantilly and wrapping up with an afternoon-long trade show. For a full list of exhibitors and program, please visit the website.
