Updates Tignes 1800: a new village in Tignes As part of an effort to modernize the village of Tignes 1800, located in the heart of the Tignes-Val d’Isère ski area, four chalets will open in December 2013, followed by three additional chalets, scheduled to open in December 2016. The “village” atmosphere will attract a new family-orientated clientele looking for a quiet, forested environment and a favorable altitude for young children. Newly created beginner ski runs and adapted ski lifts now service what has always been a ski in/ski out village.
