New York, March 20, 2018 — In addition to Paris winning Best Destination for 2018 in TripAdvisor’s Travelers Choice Awards, four “Top French Cities” were elected Top 10 destinations in France.

The “Top French Cities” (TFC) are an association of 29 cities throughout France. Among them are regional capitals, smaller cities or towns that are easily accessible by train or car, and are unique each in their own way, for their heritage, innovation, gastronomy, wines and lifestyle.

In TripAdvisor’s 2018 Traveler Choice Awards for the Top 10 Destinations—France, the four TFC are and in order:

Number 3 is Nice, on the Côte d’Azur

Number 5 is Bordeaux, in New Aquitaine

Number 6 is Strasbourg, in the Grand Est

Number 7 is Marseille, in Provence-Alpes- Côte d’Azur

On the announcements of Paris as Best Destination for the 2018 Travelers Choices Award and the Top 10 France destinations Christian Mantei, CEO of Atout France, the France Tourism Development Agency said: “This award is so important to us as it is a recognition by travelers of joint efforts undertaken these recent years. The French Government, the region, the city and the entire travel industry (hotels, transportation, museums, gastronomy…) worked hard to show Paris and France in a new light. Receiving this award today and this week is all the more meaningful because it is International Francophonie Day and because tomorrow is “Good France,” the largest worldwide dinner held to celebrate French gastronomy.”
