Culinary Competition at the Top of the Alps, February 8-11 [1]

NEW YORK, NY, NOVEMBER 26, 2013 – The Auron ski resort, located in the heart of the Southern Alps near the French Riviera, celebrates the traditional cuisine of the French Alps with the Côte d'Azur's most renowned chefs for a culinary competition from February 8-11. Running for the past three years, this year's rendition will also feature a market offering artisan and local products from the Mercantour Valley as well as culinary demonstrations and tastings with the participating chefs and members of l'Apreca (association des pâtissiers des restaurants de la Côte d'Azur/Association of Pastry-Makers from Restaurants on the Côte d'Azur ).
Each night, a dozen restaurants in the area will offer a prix-fixe menu of 40 € (appetizer, main course, and dessert) where guests will have the opportunity to indulge in the chefs' gastronomic creations, made from products only found in the Alps.
