The stunning Hotel Royal is part of the luxurious Evian Resort [2]which includes two luxury hotels (Royal***** & Ermitage**** each with their own spa), a golf course which each year hosts the women’s Major 'The Evian Championship', the Thermal Spa Center with programs based on the properties of Evian Mineral Water, and, La Grange au Lac, a magnificent auditorium built in 1993 in the honor of Rostropovich). The resort's long been considered one of the most high-end of its kind around the French side of Lake Léman in Evian-les-Bains close to Geneva, Switzerland in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Following work lasting two years to totally renovate the Hotel Royal, it will re-open early July 2015. Known for its stunning Belle Epoque style and decadent interiors, the major refurbishment sees a makeover that will provide both the very best of modern-daycomfort combined with the traditional spirit of this legendary place visited by famous personalities.
The extensive project has been entrusted to interior designer François Champsaur and head architect of historic monuments François Chatillon to ensure that history and heritage are respected.

The addition of a floor dedicated to seven suites has been incorporated into the refurbishment. The seven new suites [207 square metres in size for the vast Royal Suite] have magnificent views overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps. Each suite has been designed by famous French designer François Champsaur. Known for his ability to transform any space with attention to the finest details, he intelligently reworks space, playing with light and volume, and complements this with both elegant and contemporary furniture and fabrics, which he has hand-selected.

Public areas as well as all rooms have been carefully renovated using decadent fabrics, silks, linens and materials ensuring the soul and identity of this palace hotel dating back to the early 20th century remains intact via the restoration of its original frescoes and collection of period furniture.
