Major Exhibition: Norman Rockwell’s Paintings at the Caen Memorial

Explore the impact of war in Europe through a new 17 minutes long panoramic film, screened in an ultra-modern 360° theatre. The film will be screened on 11 screens at 360 °, in front of 350 spectators standing on a wooden floor pierced with glass portholes to discover other images at their feet. The film, 90% archival footage, will tell the story of Europe from the early 20th century, before the First World War until the end of the Cold War with the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.


From June to september, the Memorial will also host exhibition of 70 paintings and illustrations by Normand Rockwell, some of which will cross the Atlantic Ocean for the very first time !
