Franck A. Perret Museum

Saint-Pierre, Martinique

The Frank A. Perret Museum in Saint-Pierre is a memorial to the cataclysmic eruption of Mount Pelée on May 8, 1902, which took the life of close to 30,000 residents—only three survived, and that totally destroyed, what was at the time Martinique’s capital city. Saint-Pierre, which is located at the northwestern tip of the Isle of Flowers, was the island’s cultural and economic center, home to the main port. . Read more.

LUMA Foundation

Just a stone’s throw from the city’s Roman Amphitheater, Arles has become home to an exciting project: the Luma Foundation’s experimental and contemporary art center. Partially open and hosting exhibitions, the striking center will be completed late 2019/early 2020 along with an ultra contemporary structure designed by Frank Gehry. Read more.


The Maritime and Sea Museum

The Caen Memorial

Caen, Normandy
Opening – June 2019
In honor of the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Landings and the launch of the crucial Battle of Normandy, the Caen Memorial will inaugurate a new high-tech wing, which will feature a 360 degree immersive film experience on Europe’s 20th century. It will also host Enduring Ideals: Rockwell, Roosevelt & the Four Freedoms from June 4 to October 27, 2019. This exceptional traveling exhibition of iconic Norman Rockwell paintings includes the Four Freedoms collection: “Freedom of Speech,” “Freedom of Worship,” “Freedom from Want” and “Freedom from Fear.” Read more.


The MoCo

Inaugurated June 29, 2019
The MoCo, a new contemporary art center in Montpellier, has the strong urban ambition of exploring the possibilities of transformation of the city through art. Bringing together the Panacée and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, the gateway to this project, imagined by the Mayor of the city and President of Metropolitan Montpellier, Philippe Saurel, and the newly appointed Director of the MoCo, Nicolas Bourriaud, is the Hotel Montcalm, whose transformation will be under the direction of architect Philippe Chiambaretta / PCA-STREAM. The project proposes a work of re-enchantment of the Hotel Montcalm through the activity of artists who will transform the functional into the fictional. Read more.


International City of Gastronomy

Lyon, Auvergne – Rhône-Alpes
Opening – late September 2019
The International City of Gastronomy will be housed within the historic Grand Hôtel-Dieu and will cover a surface area of 3,930 m², which will be devoted to the theme: “gastronomy, at the crossroads of food and health”. Learning to eat well, while associating health with pleasure, boosting preventative measures, and discovering and furthering the latest breakthroughs in research, are the main missions chosen for this great and innovative project. International Gastronomy and Wine Exhibition Center
