THE CHAMPS ÉLYSÉES FILM FESTIVAL RETURNS FOR ITS 7TH EDITION TAKING OVER THE CITY OF LIGHT FROM JUNE 12 TO JUNE 19, 2018.

PARIS, FRANCE | Monday, April 30, 2018 – The CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES FILM FESTIVAL is the only French-American Film Festival based in Paris, dedicated to the public and devoted to promoting US and French independent films. The festival also highlights contemporary films and restored classics. Each year, the festival takes place on the most beautiful avenue in the world and promotes its movie theaters. A mythical place and a major Parisian meeting point, the Champs-Élysées is also one of the avenues with the most movie theaters within a mile radius. Screenings start at 7€.

UNFORGETTABLE EVENINGS AND MUSICAL PROGRAM

Various prestigious and entertaining evenings are held during the festival. The opening and the closing nights are celebrated in sumptuous venues near the Champs-Élysées.

Another exclusive and essential venue of the festival is the Publicis Rooftop located on the 7th floor of the Publicis headquarters, overlooking the Champs-Élysées; offering a panoramic view of the Arc de Triomphe. During the festival, the rooftop vibrates thanks to several concerts where talents, official sponsors, journalists, guests and the public are gathering together. In 2017, the festival kicked off a musical program open to all festival-goers, the opportunity to discover the Parisian indie scene on the «Rooftop of the Festival», while drinking a glass of champagne.

OPENING FILM – How To Talk to Girls at Parties by John Cameron Mitchell, starring Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Alex Sharp, Ruth Wilson. The festival will open on June 12 at 7pm at the Gaumont Marignan cinema with the screening premiere preview of the movie How To Talk to Girls at Parties in the presence of director John Cameron Mitchell. The evening will continue at the Danish House where will hold a thematic evening in connection with the world of the film (programming to come).

Movies are screened in theaters, all along the Champs-Élysées avenue and its surroundings.
