Paris Perfect Unveils Conversion of 17th-Century "Mansion-Hôtel" into Six Luxury Vacation Apartments

Press release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New York - May 10, 2016 - Paris Perfect, the leading luxury apartment booking service with a portfolio of more than 100 stunning properties, has just opened the doors to the latest destination for travelers who want to experience Paris like a Parisian. Paris Perfect's own 25 Place Dauphine, a historic location situated on the exclusive Ile de la Cité, and just steps away from the iconic Pont Neuf, consists of six short-stay apartments for the exclusive use of Paris Perfect's guests. The building, originally built in 1610 by order of King Henri IV, recently housed one of the most historic tiny hotels in all of Paris, the Hotel Henri IV. Paris Perfect's new flagship property consists of five one-bedroom apartments and one two-bedroom apartment. The property has two penthouse duplex apartments, each with its own balcony and dramatic views of the beautiful Place Dauphine and iconic landmarks such as Sainte-Chapelle, Notre Dame and the Louvre. The building features small lounge areas to relax in and take advantage of wine tastings, lectures, cooking demos and more. The café across the street offers daily fresh breakfast delivery for guests of 25 Place Dauphine. Paris Perfect has been working closely with renowned architect Gabor Mester de Parajd, Chief Architect of the Historical Monuments of France, to restore the building, employing the highest possible standards. France's top craftsmen (known as the "Compagnons de France") have been employed in realizing this transformation, restoring the building's charm, and unique architectural elements, such as the original wooden beams and limestone arches. Most of the apartments include mantels with hidden panels where guests can even store a bottle of wine. This clever storage design was inspired by Francophile Thomas Jefferson's own fireplace dumbwaiter at Monticello, which allowed him to easily transport bottles of Bordeaux from the basement. Above the mantels, many apartments also feature discreetly hidden televisions, which appear to be mirrors when turned off. To create the designs and furnishings, the Paris Perfect team turned to French brands Blanc d'Ivoire and Du Bout Du Monde, as well as Restoration Hardware, in addition to scouring French antique markets and stores to find the most unique pieces. Rates at 25 Place Dauphine are from €236 per night.
