High speed trains make for easy day trips from Paris: Paris - Reims : a 46mn train ride. Travelers can add convenience and value to their vacation experience in France with a variety of France rail products, including: France Rail Pass - Offers 1st or 2nd class extensive travel on the national rail network of France with a choice of either one and up to nine travel days within a one month period (to be used consecutively or non-consecutively) or 2, 4, 5, 8 or 15 days of consecutive travel. The Easy Access passholder fare is available only to travelers using the France Rail Pass. Note, this fare has strict rules and may only be used with the France Rail Pass (fines will be issued on the train to non-France Rail Pass travelers). Rail pass is valid on RER Line B between Paris Charles de Gaulle airport and Paris Nord Station: Prior to boarding RER, proceed to the SNCF-Transilien ticket counter in Roissy CDG and ask for a “contremarque” voucher. Reservation Requirements with a France Rail Pass: This rail pass covers trains that are operated by the national railway of France, SNCF. Reservations are required for almost all domestic, international and night trains. Travelers with a rail pass may be required to purchase a special reservation for the portion of the journey that isn't covered by their rail pass. The Eurostar train isn't covered by any rail pass, but travelers with a France Rail Pass are eligible to receive a discount on Eurostar tickets. Reservations are an additional cost to the rail pass and can be requested within 90 days of your travel date. Choose a continuous pass good for 15 or 21 travel days, or 1, 2 or 3 travel months; or a flexi pass offering 5 travel days of travel within a 10 day period or 10 or 15 travel days to be used within a 2-month period, with your choice of consecutive or non-consecutive travel days. All travel is first class, unless the traveler is under 26-years of age and eligible for a youth pass. The Eurail Global pass also offers Saverpass fares for 2 or more traveling together.
