NEW YORK, NY, October 11, 2013 – On August 27, François Hollande emphasized the importance of tourism to France's economy during his speech to French Ambassadors, in the presence of cabinet ministers and members of the French Senate and the National Assembly for the 21st Conférence des Ambassadeurs at the Elysée Palace in Paris.

Hollande stated, "Tourism must become a great national cause, which means we must improve the welcome at our airports, strengthen security and raise the quality of our tourism infrastructure. France is already the world's #1 tourism destination and the immediate goal is to become Europe's first destination in terms of tourism revenue."
